ŞTIRI: Veniţi la Evenimentul "Inside 3D Printing" din New York City! Evenimentul va avea loc în perioada 22-23 Aprilie 2013. Am aranjat ca reprapper-ii (adică voi!) să primiţi un discount special de 15% pentru admitere - menţionaţi codul RRP15. RepRap este primul proiect al omenirii cu scopul de a crea o maşină de producţie cu capacităţi de auto-replicare. RepRap ia forma unui produs gratis desktop 3D printer capabil să printeze obiecte 3D din plastic. De vreme ce multe dintre componentele RepRap sunt făcute din plastic, RepRap fiind cel care printează acele componente, se poate spune că RepRap este capabil de auto-replicare. RepRap poate produce un set de componente proprii pe care oricine îl poate folosi pentru asamblarea unui RepRap. Aceasta înseamnă totodată că, odata ce deţii un RepRap, poţi sa printezi o mulţime de piese folositoare şi, prin urmare, poţi tipări un alt RepRap pentru un prieten... RepRap înseamnă construirea de maşini capabile de auto-replicare şi punerea proiectelor lor la dispoziţia oricui. Folosim imprimare 3D pentru a realiza acest lucru, dar daca dispui de alte tehnologii de replicare ce pot fi puse la dispoziţia tuturor în mod gratuit, atunci acesta este locul potrivit pentru tine. Reprap.org este un proiect al comunităţii, ceea ce înseamnă că eşti binevenit să editezi majoritatea paginilor din cadrul acestui site, sau chiar sa creezi pagini proprii.
