MrMaint (short for Mr. Maintenance) is an industrial engineering graduate of R.I.T. (The Rochester Institute of Technology). He is working on a scalable, inexpensive, durable, and accurate design for a large format 3d printer. He is also working on a filament extruder design that will produce filament faster at a fraction of the cost to build or buy current kits (Filastruder). Another project under contemplation is a multi-color extruder with a single nozzle, light weight, and predictable color mixing (solid colors without swirl), and predictable color change intervals, with limited color bleed crossover from one color to the next. His ultimate goal is to be able to print automobile sized objects for a cost of less than $4 per pound and accuracy of 200 micron or better layers.
