installing software on a laptop running windows 7 Installed python on laptop (m11x/win7x64) Trying to interface with the huxley. Asked around at the RepRap IRC channel and I was told that pronterface would be a good software to use for interfacing with the printer, as well as slic3r instead of skeinforge because skeinforge has windows that are too tall.

Installing pronterface with python and shit found here. Listening to SMK because I feel like swedish techno would help.

Issue with connecting to the printer, hat do go into device manager to see what port it was. After windowsn installed a USB serial emulator, it showed up on COM8. data rate 19200, change the z speed to 60 and HIT ENTER.

Got a to do: clean up wires everywhere, put steel tip on, put steel bed on, fix opto with bracket and filler so it fits.
