IMHO: I think it would be safer and more politically correct to sidestep the issue entirely under safe harbor vs. composing an inaquate list of prohibitted objects.

The decision is an especially easy one because I don't believe it's possible for a handheld sized piece of thermoplastic to contain the chamber pressure of any common handgun caliber. IE: Since the benefits of banning the nonexistant are nonexistant: the cost-benefit analysis becomes very simple. --JohnnyCooper 2:45, 28 March 2010 (PST)


... what's with mechanical systems not primarily designed to be handguns but embedding parts like springs or pneumatics that 'act like handguns' when breaking or malfunctioning ;-)

Simple. We don't discuss it on that page. Because this is not one of the places to confront people with complexity. That's what we use the rest of the wiki for.  :)
