RepRap Parts Lister

Many of the parts needed to build a RepRap can be obtained from a variety of suppliers. We have created a part lister database to help you find the parts needed, as well as to find the appropriate suppliers for those parts. It also has handy features like automatic creation of shopping carts (makes it easy to buy components for your electronics.)

We have set up a RepRap Research Foundation to manage a not-for-profit online shop to sell kits and parts for RepRap machines. The shop was configured by Zach Smith, and is run by him so we all owe him many thanks.

Ian Adkins has also set up an online business to supply kits and parts for RepRap machines made by resin moulding, so many thanks to him too. The business is called Bits from Bytes.

Ponoko Lasercut Parts

Ponoko run an online laser-cutting service using a wide range of sheet materials. Toby Borland was kind enough to supply us with a 2D version of the RepRap design, and Vik Olliver modified it to work with both 4.0mm - 4.4mm plywood and 9mm MDF. Yes, you can build it out of fancy acrylics, but do not underestimate the power of plywood and PVA glue. It's much easier to glue than acrylic, and the little laser-etched labels that guide your assembly are much easier for the developer to see!

This is currently being prototyped, and is not yet ready for prime time. More details under Plywood RepRaps.

Rapid Prototyping Services

Because not everyone is able to get printed parts from RepRapper friends yet, you can get (customized) plastic parts Rapid Prototyped at:
