Вступ
Prusa i3 (ітерація 3) це найновіший та поточний проект RepRap Core Developer Prusajr. В i3 враховано недоліки попередніх двох моделей Prusa, як і в інших сучасних популярних моделях RepRap. Дивіться також Prusa Mendel (iteration 2).

Надруковані частини
STL файли, для виготовлення принтера можна знайти на Clone_wars: _Prusa_iteración_3. To compile yourselve use the files from Github 2 (box style files) 3 (Single sheet style) Copy configuration.scad.dist to configuration.scad and fill custom settings section there RP every .scad in this directory (except complete-printer) once. Aim for 0.3mm layers and 2.2 extrusion width (width over thickness), for 0.66mm stroke width. Printer is tested at this setting. Using doc/complete-printer.scad as a visual clue and doc/manual.txt as a guide, build the printer.
Тип рами
Більшість великих Prusa i3 діляться на дві категорії: з листовою рамою "Single Sheet" або коробчастою рамою "Box Style". Листова рама розроблена для виготовлення за допомогою лазерного різака або станка з ЧПУ. Наразі листова рама виготовляється з листового алюмінію або з пресованого дерева товщиною 6 мм або більше. В EiNSTeiN variant, як і в i3 Rework використовується листова рама, як і більшості комплектів (кітів). З іншого боку коробчасту раму легше виготовити в домашніх умовах, використовуючи звичайні інструменти для деревообробки. Вісь Y в обох типах рам подібна до Prusa Mendel i2.
Листова рама
Це рама вирізана з листа металу, як правило алюмінію, але також може бути виготовлена з інших листових матеріалів товщиною більшою за 6 мм (0,25 дюйми)
переваги:
- професійний вигляд (суб’єктивно);
недоліки:
- для виготовлення необхідні спеціальні інструменти (наприклад гідроабразивний різак);
- менш жорстке з'єднання між XZ-рамою і Y-рамою, однак це дещо виправлено у TwelvePro варіанті, де забезпечено додаткову підтримку.
Листова дерев’яна рама
This is a version of the sheet frame that is designed to be laser cut out of wood or plastic (eg. acrylic) if you don't have access to a waterjet cutter. The only difference is that this version has support gussets on the back side of the vertical frame (the side that doesn't have the z threaded rods).
Construction is the same.

Альтернативна коробчаста рама
This is a version of the boxed frame that uses only 5 parts instead of 8. It requires a little more work when cutting out the parts but less work to assemble.
