At this step, the X stage is complete. The drive nut has been tapped and threaded onto the lead screw, and manually moved to near the center of motion. The 1/4-20 hex head bolts that secure it to the X stage still need to be counter sunk to leave space for the Y stage lead screw and drive nut. Note the cut in half blue compression springs used to pressure the roller arms firmly against the outer X slide rail. The same technique is visible on the Y stage holding onto the right slide rail.
