2.1 - You might be surprised at the methods which are being applied to try and replace the 'unprintable' parts with other mechanisms. Stepper motors are one such object which people are attempting to replace with something else.

2.2 - What about distribution cost/time? What if walmart doesn't have a replacement part? Do you see anything enabling about having a miniature factory without being rich?

2.3 - How might thingiverse be made more legitimate, in your view?
