2.2 - I like your interpretation, and it's an important one. Don't forget that AB seems to find some value in having your own 'miniature factory' as a means of production without being a rich factory owner to begin with.

2.3 - I think your assessment might be one of the best. The true revolution of the 3D printer is that it gives you a means to solve the problems you encounter - AS you encounter them, rather than years and thousands of dollars later. Can you think of any problems you have which we could solve using some printed object?
