Commentary:

2.1 - Good point about the decreasing cost of the systems over time. They do not specify if a system would necessarily self replicate without a command to do so, currently even life requires the right conditions, and so space filling soon meets its limitations. Have you considered the practical limitations for reprap replications?

2.2 - Value is a nebulous thing. Is it only ever making junk if you can make useful things? It seems like that is a valuable process in its own right. You say "So although people will acquire a lot of "wealth" no one will have a lot of money or useful things, just a lot of junk." I'm not sure that you've really hit on what the phrase "wealth without money" meant to him, given that it's the motto of a fairly idealistic project.

2.3 - You can never remove the human element, (nor would you want to). There are designs to create stepping action without the use of motors, and the electronics boards have already been made, as have printable frames without metal hardware. It might not be the cheapest or best way to do things, but people have made progress in different areas.
