3.1 - So it would be hard to ban us from making machines, but what about restricting content access, or something? Imagine that some senator really doesn't want you making AR15 parts any more, so they're determined to try to do something about it. I agree with you that it probably wouldn't work, but what sorts of draconian steps might be attempted?

3.3 - I want you to re-respond to this question after we discuss the different types of IP in class. There are several kinds, and I think you'll want to distinguish between them in your response

2.1 - I would have assumed that perhaps some scientists or researchers might be the ones trying to build the universal constructor independently of how many grandmothers might be able to use them. 3D printers are sort of the first small step anyway. You might think about this more.

2.2 - Redundancy is important, your last point is perhaps the best one. I think Bowyer's phrase is a bit more subtle than you're making it out to be though.

2.3 - Printing is an Application of the robot. Can you think of other applications?
