Today the class was divided by groups and my group was composed with 4 more Brazilians students.

We configured the file to print. It was an space invader character like this one below:

The printer assigned to our team (5) was Big Read, but it had a broken pulley.

We've tried to print the pulley for Big Read using the Gold print, but it wasn't possible because the heater of this machine wasn't raising the temperature.

Consequently, we had to skip this work for the next class.

We watched a video describing different forms of metal deposition.

We tried once more to use the Gold Printer, but it was having a problem on z axis right engine.

Our team member Luiz Southier was working on it.

Design for Additive Manufacturing presentation.

We learned about the 10 principles of 3D printing:

"Principle one: Manufacturing complexity is free. Principle two: Variety is free. Principle three: No assembly required Principle four: Zero lead time. Principle five: Unlimited design space. Principle six: Zero skill manufacturing Principle seven: Compact, portable manufacturing. Principle eight: Less waste by-product. Principle nine: Infinite shades of materials. Principle ten: Precise physical replication. "

We watched a presentation about 3-D printing of cars. It was really interesting to know how this field of 3D printing is really large.

Also, we printed for the first time our little friend: "the space invader", we needed to make some adjusts because it was making bubbles and messing everything around without create the shape of the space invader. We ended getting this object, but it wasn't looking that good.

When we tried to print the coin constraint piece, the external sizes and internal sizes of this piece was really bad and it didn't work good.

Lecture. New information: voxel = A voxel represents a value on a regular grid in three-dimensional space. Voxel is a combination of "volume" and "pixel" where pixel is a combination of "picture" and "element".
