I'm not an export in designing with OpenSCAD but from what I've read, I think there would be some useful addition to this page :
- use a low $fn during the draft designs and raise it only when exporting to STL
- use MCAD
* namely the polyline module from NopHead to produce correctly sized round holes
- 3d printer aren't perfect, so prepare a fixed (or better yet, a parameterized) clearance for shapes having to fit another.
- when making a difference between shapes, make the removed part 'longer' than needed, it will improve the preview display.
