Is it possible to move a connection for pins 26 and 27 to the same side as the misc pins 16-20? or even a spot right in front of them? so they can be used for other input/outputs, maybe by jumper to get over the rout for pin 30? --Dfk20012002 15:15, June 5 2011

Yes, something in that sense is in the works. Looking at the current state of v1.3, pin 22 and 23 are free'd as well, so we have 4 pins on that side. My plan is to somehow make room for an extension board, similar to how RAMPS sits on an Arduino. The essential things on the bottom, extra features like second extruder, max endstops, SD card, in the upper stack.

Schematic / Prices / Licence

Schematic viewing

I have tried to get a PNG file or two from the GitHub repository but it maintains that download of non-text files is not supported, I may be a bit dense as a non GitHub user. There is no link to a standard format on the RepRap page that I could view. I would love to look at a PDF or PNG of the schematic without going through the install of the gEDA tool-chain and trying to get suitable files from GitHub, a ZIP with the SCH files might download but did not try yet. I'd just like to see how much it differs from the Snagrilou or File:Teensylu-0.6.pdf functionality before searching for price and availability.

PCB / Kit prices

Also having a link to some place that has guide prices for PCB/kits even if they are sometimes out of date will make it easier to compare without having to trouble someone to reply to eMail.

Licence puzzle

The mention that it is not GPL in the [Comparison_of_Electronics] page makes it look like it might be a commercial product where it is not really. Why is the CC licence different enough from GPL to make it more suitable for this version of electronics that is as far as I can see intended to be pretty much in the same spirit as all the other RepRap contributions? Just the fact that they are different even though both reasonably free licences will reduce the spread of V7 electronics unless the salient difference is pointed out with the reason for same. Sometimes making a PCB for oneself will cost the same as making 4 and wondering about the licence to sell will retard the urge to distribute.
