regarding "safer" with mosfets, they frequently fail short circuit in over-temperature conditions. their other advantages still make them better than relays though. - Triffid Hunter

Order of Soldering Components

I haven't finished soldering my board, but I found it incredibly frustrating to follow the directions and find myself having to reach over, under, and through components I'd already soldered on to get to the next component. While people who are good with a soldering iron might have minimal trouble with the existing arrangement, my shoddy soldering which requires me to redo the top because I couldn't get the solder down the hole and the current order are a nightmare.
