According to dudes on the RepRap IRC, sketchup is pretty handy for reprap design once you install:
- http://www.guitar-list.com/download-software/convert-sketchup-skp-files-dxf-or-stl <-- this is a plugin to convert sketchup files to STL
- http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/2010/03/sketchup-stl-importer-redo.html <-- This is a plugin for sketuck to import STL files.
- http://www.cad-addict.com/2009/07/sketchup-plugins-delete-coplanar-edges.html <-- combines coplanar faces. Maybe only has to do with file size.
This is a work in progress.
Used the first plugin in the list to successfully export STL files. The showed up weird in repsnapper, but it was very manageable.
