Current Progress

Penn State RUG is currently trying to use the Next Engine 3D scanner to replicate and print objects. The scanning process is relatively simple. Aligning point data and creating a water tight model is a simple but tedious task. The NextEngine Scanstudio software has successfully produced printable files. Other software exists that makes turning the scan into a printable model exists, currently used are Netfabb and Blender.
