Hisssss Problem...
- Some ATX Power Supply's cause the stepper motors to have more hisss than others... If your motors suffer form loud hiss noise at low current settings then you might want to try another power supply... After swapping power supply's my steppers no longer hissssssss....!
Missing a Resister?
Lots of people ask so.... (please anybody correct this if I am wrong...)
- The two pads that look like their missing a resister are for the RS485 end-of-the-line terminator. If you where to have multiple extruders you might need to install the termination resister onto the last extruder board connected...
- you might also need to install the termination resistor (onto the extruder board) if you have a long run of cable between the Main Motherboard and the extruder board...
- This resistor is not normally needed.. The times when it might be needed are when you can't achieve any kind of rs485 communication between the Main Motherboard and the Extruder Board. However this does nor occur often.
