Step 40: Extruder support plate

Step 41: Extruder assembly

1 bowden adapter
2 M3x20 screw kit for bowden adapter
3 M3x6 motor

2 springs 25mm 1.5 thick
2 M4 threaded rod length 70mm
2 square nut M4
2 M4 wing nut
1 8mm rod length 18mm
1 1/8" Pneufit 6mm
1 square nut M3 needed for small pulley
1 M3x6 grub screw needed for small pulley
1 10mm Expandable PET Cable Sleeve length: 20cm - Use also some heatshrink. (RS: 408-198)

Step 42: Hotends

Hotend tested:


NTC CABLE LENGTH: 1m

Use a 40W 24V ceramic heater cartridge and EPCOS 100K NTC:

Put some thermal conductive paste: (we used a Boron Nitride heat sink grease CW7250)

Assemble cables with hotend, fix it with good nylon strip or any high temp resistant lock:

Put some high temperature silicon: (ex: we used a ACC Silcoset 158)

assemble hotends into head and gently tighten the grub screws:

Please remember that multiple hotends should have the same height from the printbed!



Step 43: Extruder bowden

PTFE bowden tube is 3.18mm inner diameter, 6mm outer diameter and total length of one bowden tube is 600mm
