The model manufacturing process encompass these phases:

  • design/acquiring models in some software and representation
  • convert the model description/data to another representation
  • 3D print them out on Ultimaker[1]
    • Prepress
    • Slicing
    • Machine control
    • Firmware choice (5D, Sprinter...)

and

  • Improvement to the model description
