3.1 - The war on drugs has been going on for what, 40 years now? Why couldn't they try to prohibit 3D printers? What form might such ineffective legislation take? (think like a congress-critter)

2.2 - The dollar may have its own issues... Don't forget that reprap is an affordable means of production. You don't have to be rich to have your own miniature factory now.
