I'm interested in your opinion regarding a potential use for this linkage in the form you've created.

I've been looking for a mechanism to suspend light objects that is compact, has linear vertical motion, and offers little or no projection above the point of suspension (ie the top plate of the linkage). What you've created here looks very well suited to that use.

Would this be feasible? For lightweight objects, and relatively small motion, it looks stable enough -- what do you think? What do you think the lifting force would be with the servo configuration shown -- I'm thinking that something along the lines of a cable to provide lifting force might be better in a suspended use. Any ideas?
