Documentation Ideas

Because I'm a strong supporter of documenting within the RepRap wiki, I am always looking for ways to quickly communicate the core ideas and inspiration that drive my projects. If anyone has an idea how I can improve my layout please feel free to drop a line. Somethings I am working on: 1) shortening the overall length of the initial project page, 2) moving the workbook to it's own page, 3) reordering the entries in the workbook with the newest entry at the 'top' of the page, 4) adding a "How can I help?" section for those that want to contribute, 5) finish adding info for all 'coming soon' areas, and 6) link the project forum to the project page. --Isaac Olson 05:56, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

redundant motors

Would it make the Columbus simpler and more reliable to use 2 X motors 2 Y motors? They would directly replace 2 drive shafts and a few gears and pulleys. Electrically, each pair of motors would be driven by a single driver, the same as the 2 Z motors on top of the Prusa Mendel. --DavidCary 17:20, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
