Mendel Drawings

Usage

Rather than machining a Mendel, you may want to make a WolfStrap. Or a 1X2 or 1X2 Tallcat

Sells, Prusa

I think these are for Sells Mendel. You're probably looking for the drawings for a Prusa Mendel. Which
is predominantly done in OpenSCAD, which may not generate mechanical drawings.

Files

Imperial Measurements

File:Mendel Drawings.zip

All in a single PDF: File:Mendel Drawings - Single PDF.pdf

Note: Mendel_Drawings.zip contains a number of pdfs. These pdfs are engineering drawings of mendel parts, drafted in auto cad.

Units are in Imperial - Inches.

Import Drawings

The files in Mendel_Drawings.zip are a bunch of pdfs. It may be good to convert the pdfs to .png type image files (using image magick or pdftk?) and embed them in a series of pages. E.g. x_axis_belt_clamp.pdf is a pdf in the zip, we need x_axis_belt_clamp.png, and then either have Mendel/Drawings be one long image dump or have it be a list of pages like: Mendel/x_axis_belt_clamp --WikiSysop 07:31, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Working Notes

what are the units on these drawings?

To understand Mendel design, started to convert SolidEdge "part" files in "dxf" and "dwg" files.

Don't know if it's the proper place and i'm a total beginner about 3D and 2D design.

Please check what i'm doing and give me some advice. Check my english too...

Usability

How do we integrate a bunch of images with our formal set of files, which is buried here: https://reprap.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/reprap/trunk/mendel/mechanics/solid-models/ And is there a good way for users to upload their change98s to that system?
