Third attempt. This one worked well enough to test. Solidified wax forms a film on the inside of the case. This design uses a nested drain and vent. The cutting tip exits to the left in the picture. The vent exits to the right. An eight-ohm heater is wound around the drain tube inside the case. Drain tube is 5/32 inch (about 4mm) outside diameter.
