Welcome

Dear Ckaos,

Welcome to RepRap!

The Doboz looks very clean and professional. Congratulations on getting it running. Thank you for showing it to us.

I'm happy to learn that I can build a perfectly functional RepStrap without all the of heavy, thick, difficult-to-cut metal used in the ORE-Bot or most Extruded Aluminum RepStraps :-). --DavidCary 22:38, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Hello David ! Thanks a lot for the warm Welcome! Yes those L shaped aluminum profiles are really (relatively) easy to work with , and to obtain :) I will update the wiki about that aspect of the build process as soon as i have time.

Thanks again, and if you have any thoughts on improvements, don't hesitate :) Mark

Hi Ckaos,

I just noticed Doboz-Web. It'd be great if you considered using Libreprap in a future version. It's designed to abstract away as much of the communications difficulties as possible - improving compatibility with all the various (slightly incompatible in ridiculous ways) firmwares out there. It also leaves us only one place to make changes to host software when someone develops a new communications protocol.

You can find example code for using libreprap in gcdump, and repsnapper, and the developer(s) are usually available in #repsnapper on freenode.

Thanks for your work! --Timschmidt
