As per that email I sent a month ago, I'm very concerned about that the cc by-nc-nd license on Arcol.hu_Hot-End_Version_3.0.

The nc restriction prevents people from using that nozzle to make Mendels and sell the Mendels. Considering nc-infected Mendels, any recipient of a gift Mendel infected with nc would not be able to use that gift Mendel to make daughter or grand daughter machines and sell them, as those daughter and grand daughter machines would also be infected with nc, and so on.

The nd is similarly troubling. It means we can't make mechanical drawings and show them to a machinist, and so on. I'm assuming anyone who takes a careful look at that nozzle is tainted and can't do anything similar.

For example, one can't make a GPL variant of that nozzle.

These behaviors violate people's normal expectations that they can make RepRaps and use those machines to make other RepRaps.

I'd like to change the license on that hot end to GPL. I hope that's ok. I'll do so in a week or so, unless I hear otherwise from you.
