Hi!

Who am I

I'm an almost-50-year-old autodidact French, with a background in mechanics and electronics school.

20 Years in One Sentence

I have been in the music and video game industry (3D animator) industry, I've done a startup for 3D animated characters (cantoche.com), I've done web application development, mobile development (w6developpement.com)n and now 3D printing development.

Smartfriendz is an entity designing educational hardware kits useful for everyday's life.

The main goal of Smartfriendz is to introduce the largest audience possible to DIY and repair-it-yourself, instead of just letting users be simply consumers. The revenue earned by selling kits or doing crowd funding will be used to improve projects, design new things, and make quality documentation in different languages and for different supports.

I know this vision may just be utopia, but look at the software world. What would it be now without those crazy, open-source guys creating and improving software for free?

You would pay $500 for your operating system, $50 for each silly little game and the same for any unzip software. I believe we can keep the good work and make everybody know you can have a decent , reproducible, easy to assemble 3d printer for under $400.

The first project Smartfriendz designed is the Smartrap_mini. It will be my base for selling 3D printer kits, and will be updated regularly.

I'm actually also working thinking hard on an smartphone controller working with actual electronics. Same vision than with hardware: it should be free, open source and funded by the community? Anyone could then improve it.
