Speed settings Normal speed These settings are the fastest possible settings to maintain a print that finishes for 90 percent successfully. Printing slower will result in better finish and better reliability.

Normal settings from Prisma are 60 percent of the fast settings.

Fast speed Infill speed [mm/s] = volume flow [mmˆ3] / layer height [mm] / nozzle size [mm]

  • Outer wall speed [mm/s] = 0,6 x Infill speed [mm/s]
  • Inner wall speed [mm/s] = 0,6 x Infill speed [mm/s]
  • Speed top and bottom [mm/s] = 20mm/s
  • Support infill speed [mm/s] = 0,6 x Infill speed [mm/s]
  • Support roof speed [mm/s] = 0,6 x Infill speed [mm/s]

Example PLA on 0,1 layer height and with 0,4 mm nozzle:

Fast Infill speed = 3,5 mmˆ3 (volume flow) / 0,1 mm (layer height) / 0,4 mm (nozzle size) = 87,5 mm/s fast speed Other speeds: 0,6 x 87,5 mm/s (Infill speed) = 52,5 mm/s

Normal Infill speed = 52,5 mm/s x 0,6 = 31,5 mm/s Other speeds = 18,9 mm/s

Calibration of your device

ATTENTION: DOING THIS WRONG WILL RESULT IN A BAD CALIBRATED DEVICE

Only Black edition models equipped with an inductive sensor can use this technique.

if you screw up, your device is lost and you are on your own
