Details

The design is based on many existing direct drive extruder (especially Seemecnc EZStruder). I wanted something simple and very strong for extruding 3mm filaments. It is design to fit a NEMA 17 Size stepper motor, (If I will make the NEMA14 version it will have to be for 1.75 mm filaments). It's also designed to use the standard springs which are commonly used for Print bed leveling.

Everything needed to assemble one TeeStruder

How to make one

You will need..

  • The printed plastic part (use ABS, 2 or 3 perimeter, 20% infill is fine, no support needed)
  • Print bed springs (1 Pcs)
  • Extruder gear (1Pcs)
  • Bearing 624ZZ (1Pcs)
  • 3mm diameter bolts 25mm long (3Pcs)
  • 4mm Diameter bolt & nut 20mm or 25mm long (1Pcs)
  • Patience (1 bucket full).

Start by putting the lower parts together, then the motor, extruder gear, the tension leaver, the tension bolt and nut, and lastly the spring. Looking through the top hole which is the entry point for the filament you can adjust the extruder gear to line up properly with the bearing. If you break the plastic part which hole the lever in place, dont worry it is still usable as the 3mm bolt will still hold everything into place.
