Talk:Main Page/Sandbox
Wait, if there is an edit I want to make to the main page, but the thing I want to edit is not in the Sandbox page, how does that work? I would much rather edits under a certain byte count be allowed for the main page (for typo fixing and so on). I think MediaWiki can do that. Arlo James Barnes (talk) 13:15, 31 October 2013 (PDT)
Sept 2019 Minor Update - please publish to live.
I've made a couple of (very) minor tweaks to the latest copy of the homepage here.
These are:
- Fixed the broken margin issue on the 'Welcome to reprap.org' heading
- Slightly modernised that heading, dropping the random out of place and off-brand 'Welcome to' colouring.
- Updated the first line of text to remove the randomly out of place large 'RepRap' text (I'm sure it looked fine back in 2007 but it looks super awkward in 2019).
I'm planning on a much larger overhaul of the homepage in the coming weeks however don't want to put the time in until I can see that people are still here and maintaining the place enough that things from community members get published on protected pages.
Oct 2020 Update
The above update never went live. The homepage is still untouched, and all moderation and acceptance of community submissions are ignored. The reprap.org project is sadly quite clearly dead in the water. No idea why the reluctance to allow community contributions, and why the self-sabotage is going on on reprap.org to kill the project. --rickm (talk) 18:46, 17 October 2020 (EDT)
