Could we move this to a more specific title such as Laser Cut Mendel Assembly or something to imply which RepRap design this is for? General Assembly seems a bit generic for a wiki containing 2 generations of repraps plus derivative designs such as this one. --TheOtherRob 02:14, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

From time to time, during the Lasercut Mendel build, you will encounter conflicting ideas. I want to clear up that the chassis of the mendel is one of the most important parts of the build other than the elctronics. Without a well composed chassis you will encounter problems.

1)Check that placement of the parts is correct Correct Lasercut mendel andrus.jpg Incorrect File:Other.jpg

2)remember to square the chassis.

Mesure it because having one area smaller than the other may cause the threaded rod to bend and create clearance issues.

measure across, in an x on the bottom corners and the all the corrisponding parts locations.
