Sharebot è un nuovo progetto per lo sviluppo di tecnologie DIY open source, sharebot nasce dall'idea di avere una macchina (stampante 3d, fresa, etc...) in una scatola, ma anche fuori.... l'importante è che funzioni e sia accessibile a tutti!!
Sharebot is a new project for the development of open source DIY technologies, sharebot born from the idea of having a machine (3D printer, router, etc...) in a box or out.... the important things is that working fine and will be affordable for everybody!!!

Sharebot KIWI è una stampante 3D, da "scrivania", il progetto iniziale derivava dalla Thing-O-Matic, ma dopo alcuni prototipi si è deciso di apportare modifiche sostanziali creando di fatto un prodotto nuovo. La luce di stampa è stata portata a circa 250x250x250 mm, la movimentazione X e Y avviene tramite cinghie mentre per Z attraverso una vite senza fine. La struttura della stampante è realizzata con un composito di alluminio e PET ( leggero, stabile ed essendo preverniciato ha anche un ottima finitura), che tramite particolari lavorazioni a fresa (incisioni e taglio), crea i vari componenti della stampante, che possono essere assemblati con la stessa facilità e rapidità che si avrebbero assemblando una scatola di cartone, ma creando la struttura rigida che comporrà la nostra stampante3D. La progettazione oltre che rivolta alla funzionalità della stampante è stata concepita ed ingegnerizzata in modo da consentire un completo assemblaggio della stampante in poche ore.
Sharebot KIWI is a "desktop" 3D printer, the initial design comes from the Thing-O-Matic, but after a few prototypes it was decided to make substantial changes effectively creating a new product.
The printing area is 250x250x250 mm, X and Y axis are move through belts and for Z axis through a trapezoidal screw.
The structure of the printer is made of a composite of aluminum and PET (light, stable and prepainted) and through particular milling process (engraves and cuts), create the various components of the 3D printer, which can be assembled with the same ease and rapidity that it would assembling a cardboard box, but creating a rigid structure that will become our 3D printer.
The design not only addressed the functionality of the printer has been designed and engineered to allow complete assembly of the printer in a few hours.
