Ponoko RepRap - Installing the Z Axis Tensioner

UNDER CONSTRUCTION


  • Locate the 5mm six-sided Tensioner Holder and matching 3mm square plate.
  • Using <part>four M3 20mm screw</part>s, <part p="eight M3">washer</part>s, and <part p="four M3">nut</part>s, attach the plate to the Tensioner Holder, capturing a diagonal brace, positioning it in line with the Z Axis ball chain.
  • Locate two 5mm Bearing Holders (with captive M3 holes) and the circular 3mm Tensioner.
  • Using <part>four M3 12mm screw</part>s, <part p="four M3">washer</part>s, and <part p="four M3">nut</part>s, attach the to Bearing Holders to the Tensioner.
  • Attach the Tensioner to the Tensioner Holder using <part>two M5 ?mm screw</part>s of unknown length, <part p="four M5">washer</part>s, and <part p="two">nut</part>s.
  • Using a single <part>M3 20mm screw</part>, <part p="two M3">washer</part>s, and <part p="M3">nut</part>, attach a $THING to the Bearing Holder.
