Background

This is part of my research for the Google Science Fair. My current goal is to experiment with new construction and design techniques to further decrease the amount of plastic and hardware that goes into a RepRap. Right now the source will not yet be publicly released because it is constantly changing, and do not want to feel liable for supporting this printer architecture yet. I need to consult with Sebatien Bailard first, but I am hoping I could potentially releae public domain. I am going to be slowly porting over my documentation from my blog to this page. I am trying to spend about 15% of my development time documenting and logging my progress.

Design Constraints

  • Use 1.75mm filament
  • Support double extruders.
  • Support a servo actuated Sharpie for easy PCB etching.
  • Have a better printable volume to printer volume ratio

Todo

  • X-Carriage
