Lost PLA casting is process which allows you to create metal parts using 3D printed PLA parts as a based for a mould. The process is based on lost wax casting:

  2. A mould is made from a material that can be used to cast high temperature materials e.g metals
  3. The shape made of the low temperature material is melted out of the mould
  4. The mould is filled with molten metal or other material
