K'nexStrap, a K'nex Repstrap

I always wanted to build a RepRap Prusa, but I couldn't get my hands on parts (yet). I tried something out in K'nex (see below), to print out Prusa's parts. I almost immediately broke up the whole thing, because it was to heavy for the motors. As souvenir on those build times, see the video in Concept 1, who's demonstrating the X and Y axes. Concept II is already started, see Most Recent Concept. It's without wheels, so it's MUCH more precise (or 'will be', as they say)

Good to know : the standard hole in the k'nex pieces fit m6 rod

History

Concept 1

I started building a Y axis, with yellow half circles to form a path. I used 3 small default K'nex wheels, one without rubber, to form a big wheel. Then attached a motor, and placed it over the yellow parts:

Afterwards I put some yellow halfs at 45°, to get the X axis running. I just placed a non-rubbered small wheel on top of it, and mirrored it to the other side. Watch the image below, I can't explain it properly
