Hi!

I'm Erik de Bruijn. I started working on a DIY milling machine about 10 years ago. I did it mostly alone and didn't have the skills nor resources to complete it. Some years ago, seeing the RepRap project, really made me believe we could achieve so much more together. I still believe there is no open source project cooler than this one!

Now I've built several Darwins. One is seriously hacked, both run at 55 mm/s because of the Bowden cable guide I'm using (based on the concept by Ed Sells). Also I'm building the currently Beta Mini-mendel, to try to get a portable RepRap production ready. Together with Nophead I found an effective way to eliminate oozing and a possible support material. I helped organize a workshop to build RepRaps at Protospace in Utrecht (the Netherlands). The workshop is continued to date and a dozen RepRap's were built.

So far, I've been lucky to have been asked to give talks about RepRap and innovation at conferences and universities from all over the world. There's lot of bio info on my google profile.

My latest work is usually blogged at: Erik's RepRap blog.
