This page shows Reprap Controller Boards or "Shields" (for 3D printing, laser, CNC etc.) that use a 32-bit Micro-Controller. 32-bit MCUs are much faster and generally have better capabilities (floating-point, on-board DSP) than 8/16-bit MCUs. Note: some boards, particularly if designed as Arduino "Shields", may actually also be compatible with an 8/16-bit MCU. For more information on 32-bit boards see List of 32-bit electronics
