What about mirroring the thermal pad on the other side of the board? It would still be difficult to solder because of heat dissipating away, but it might make it possible to use a soldering iron to flow solder paste on the thermal pad through the vias. --Whosawhatsis 15:27, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

My suggestion for the next rev: Add a Vref measure point/pin. The original pololus have them and they are really good during setup to limit the max current to the steppers in a defined range. --Jwildeboer 11:57, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Is it possible to move the trimpot more to the side of the connector so a mechanical clamp can be made to sandwitch the A4988 from both sides with cooling? if i do this now, i'm unable to set the trimmer. the cooling block is obstructing it. 07-01-2014 Macsimski
