Extruder firmware not compiling with arduino 0022

The extruder firmware is not compiling with arduino 0022. It works well with version 0021. See this thread: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?1,70842,70842,quote=1

The Massively Forked Firmware

I have stumbled across a problem in getting my makerbot and my mendel online: the firmware; there are just too many forks to make any sense any more. Can anyone shine some light on the reasons behind each one and what is good/bad/outdated?

Source Control

Release Lists

There are 3 too many forks of the firmware in version control for me to go through the source and try and find one that compiles/works for me/has more features I need. What if I have firmware patches (which I was working on until this got too confusing)? which firmware should I build my extensions on top of?

This is a major problem. --TheOtherRob 21:57, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes, the diaspora of versions is frustrating. Perhaps there a way to compare these, maybe with a context-diff? or browse the revision history each, to find the purpose of each change? diversity and relative quality of the comments on the respective changes could be an indicator of which one is more-actively developed and maintained -- ElectroXen 17:12, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
