Reprap ApS is Denmark's leading supplier of 3D printers and products.

The company originated from a burning interest in 3D printing and the possibilities with 3D printers. The founder, Peter Bøgely, felt that others might have the same interest in 3D printers and the things you can do with them, and he saw an opportunity to make his hobby into a career. He started the company RepRap.me in 2012 as a sole proprietorship at home in private. During the first year, turnover grew so much that he could not keep up and he went into partnership with Kenneth Weiss, and together they established the company RepRap ApS.

Today RepRap ApS is a company in rapid growth and currently comprises 8 employees, with more to come. We have grown out of the premises, which was the home of Peter, so in the summer of 2014 we moved to new and larger premises in Hvidovre.

The majority of sales are made via the website www.RepRap.me and on eBay. But more and more customers also choose to stop by our store, where it is also possible to get advice or inspiration from our competent employees.

Our vision is that we will supply good and low-cost products to our customers worldwide.

One way of achieving this is to ensure that we have the latest information on developments within our field and continuously seek new knowledge. In addition, we hire people who are skilled and innovative.

Part of the products we buy for resale, but the majority of the products we develop. We are constantly working to improve its products and to adapt the product range to our customer group, so that we offer the product that our customers demand.

In the beginning, most customers were do-it-yourself people with great knowledge and ability, but gradually more non-technical people, such as designers or artists become aware of both the many possibilities with 3D printers, but also how easy they have become to use, even if you do not have much technical knowledge.

Also schools and colleges, have seen that 3D printing can be used in teaching. Not only for the students to learn to use one of the future tools, for there is no doubt that 3D printers will be a big part of the future, but also for making learning easier and more fun. Consider, for instance printing a model of molecules, the solar system or a landscape and hence lead to abetter understanding of distances, conditions etc.. It creates a different understanding and spatial perception, learning in 3D instead of 2D.
